MEET THE CREW 

 

LACHY HENRY

A 25 year old who grew up on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. Lachy has just graduated from Swinburne University of Technology having studied a Bachelor of Film and Television. The Flow Effect is Lachy’s first film that he has ever directed and what a wild ride it has been. With a huge passion for the sea, Lachy had a vision of bringing the underwater world to life through the eyes of his dear friend Olivia. He is so excited about this project, something he never thought he would be able to pull off - but thanks to his incredible team and the support from friends he has come up with something pretty special and dear to his heart. He hopes you enjoy the magical world of The Flow Effect.

LAUREN CREASEY

A 21 year old who has just graduated with a Bachelor of Film and Television from Swinburne University of Technology. Lauren has always been drawn to the creative freedom that photography and film entails. She has a strong passion for documentary and photojournalism as well as the environment, so no surprise that she jumped on the opportunity to co-produce 'The Flow Effect'. She hopes to combine her film making and photography with travel, exploring different cultures and places to bring more unique stories to the world.

JAMES McLENNAN

A 22-year-old film student currently studying in Melbourne, the city of dreams. For as long as he can remember he’s always wanted to be a filmmaker. He has a passion for cinema, something that came in real handy whilst producing The Flow Effect. Aside from movies, James loves driving cars up steep hills, freshly baked lamingtons, and piano covers of pop songs from the mid-2000s. He hopes that everybody has as much fun watching The Flow Effect as the team did making it.

JOSHUA NICOL

A 21-year-old Melbourne based cinematographer studying an Honours Degree in Film and Television at Swinburne University. Josh has always had a love for capturing the moving image and crafting unique, sincere cinema. He has a passion for the natural environment, coming from a background in landscape photography. Josh has always had a love for problem solving and pushing the bounds of possibilities, The Flow Effect served as a prime example of overcoming many obstacles in pursuit of authentic, innovative storytelling. Josh is forever seeking to capture the beauty of the world for all to see, he believes The Flow Effect is a film that epitomises this philosophy.

GLENCORA BRENAN

A 24 year old who has completed her film and television studies at Swinburne University of Technology. Her passion lies within the world of sound; recording, designing and mixing. Although enjoying the work of sound production on films, she wishes to apply her passion to medium of radio.

SAM SHIHAB ALFARSI
A 22 year old bearded boy living in Melbourne, growing up in the tiny country of Bahrain, he was influenced greatly by the Western Culture of music, sports and especially film, after graduating high school he seeked an opportunity to learn more about the filmmaking. Moving to Australia at 17 with two light bags and a set of heavy dreams, he showed his creativity and passion with short films with his biggest accomplishment being a Co-editor for The Flow Effect. Working with a team that is as passionate as he is. the film allowed him to express himself, and conquer mental obstacles and hurdles that majority of people face in daily life, with the main message of the film being that there is always beauty in everything, even fear. Sam hope you enjoy this film as much as he enjoyed being part of this magical journey of life.
